It's being called the largest cannabis conference in Arizona history and it's kicking off Monday in Phoenix.

But the three-day event doesn't come without some controversy.

Organizers of the Southwest Cannabis Conference and Expo are expecting thousands of people to go through the Phoenix Convention Center's doors over the next three days.

The convention's website says no marijuana will be sold or consumed at the event, but that's not stopping the county attorney from hinting that law enforcement will be watching.

Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said there may or may not be undercover agents at the expo looking for illegal activity.

However, organizers say the event is really about the industry and economic development.

The conference will include a career fair followed by two days of seminars and exhibits. Attendees will hear from experts in the marijuana industry.
